Recommends changes or upgrades to equipment, work methods, or other aspects of the process to improve efficiency and utilization of resources including labor, energy and raw materials. Additionally, Process Engineer requires a bachelor's degree of engineering. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. PRIMARY PURPOSE / SUMMARY
Leads continuous improvement on new & existing manufacturing processes. Drives initiatives to improve safety, quality, and efficiency. Provides process leadership in cost reduction, product innovation, sustainability initiatives, and develops best practices and procedures for the manufacturing process. This role is heavily focused on optimization of the manufacturing processes through reducing process variation by establishing and maintaining data driven process controls in the manufacturing process.
This position is part of a cross functional team and interacts with Research & Development, Quality Systems, Quality Laboratory and Quality Assurance, Engineering, Production, Warehouse, Converting, Packaging, Maintenance, Regulatory and Operations in Indiana facility.
