We are supporting a multinational, global leader in product development and manufacturing with its need for a Process Engineer at its Garland, TX location.

    Using a lean manufacturing approach, this individual will analyze the processes and proposes/implements improvements that will ensure production lines run with optimum quality and reliability.

    Responsibilities:
     
    • Continuous improvement of production processes, with a heavy focus on PR (production Reliability) improvements (including changeover time).
      • Implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). 
      • Training and support of operators in machine operation including creation of documents for centerline monitoring/adjustment and cleaning inspection and lubrication (CIL) implementation/monitoring. 
      • Implementation of new process and changes on the current process as well as other tasks pertinent to the department.
    • Executes the feasibilities tests, in case of new products and of modifications of existing products or following the set-up of new plants and the modification of existing plants.
    • Analyzes the production times and the man/plant saturation using the MTM method, so as to obtain the best production compromise. The test is done systematically in order to monitor the process, both during the developmental stage of a new product and in case of modification of an existing product.
    • Defines and validates (with the TSPR execution) the production stages, identifying the appropriate processes with the relative standard cycles and the maximum achievable performance data.
    • Manages the documents necessary in the Work Centers, in order to produce in a safe, efficient and effective way. Defines the operative instructions for the internal processes connected to the product to be produced including SOP, CIL and Centerline instructions.
    • Works in partnership with operations supervisor and operations manager to understand the needs and work together towards the same goal of total quality and maximum PR on the lines.
    • Create and update line/plant layouts in AutoCAD 2D. Supports new equipment development and implementation with formal drawings review and redline.
    • Work with vendors on design or improvement of new or existing equipment onsite. Availability to participate on offsite VAT (vendor acceptance tests).

    Requirements:
     
    • 2 years’ experience as an engineer in a high-speed bottling/packaging environment
    • Bachelor’s Degree in related engineering discipline
    • Knowledge/experience with Lean manufacturing principles is preferred.
