Regeneron is looking for an Associate Manager in the Process Sciences Downstream Department. They will join the Downstream Investigations Team with a focus on Process Microbiology .Downstream Investigation teams provide data and assessment for science, technology, and investigations by performing small scale studies related to production processes for biological drugs and intermediates. This role will have a strong focus on team leadership, microbial investigations and characterization studies, and microbial control initiatives. The Associate Manager will lead a team that focuses on determining root cause for micro related investigations and characterizations, they will provide guidance on driving initiatives to improve IOPS processes and technology. Additonally, they will represent the contributions of the team cross-functionally and to IOPS leadership to deliver conclusions of studies and proposals.
As an Associate Manager, a typical day might include the following:
Supervise group in execution of studies.
Perform personnel management functions of direct reports.
Coach and mentor within and beyond your team to inspire technical growth and quality results for Regeneron.
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and/or assemble SMEs for microbial topics.
Participate in new technology initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
Conduct experimental design by selecting methods and techniques for obtaining good scientific results, including subsequent data analysis.
Review studies, including DOEs, perform statistical analysis of data, and present results in cross-functional meetings.
Improve manufacturing techniques by implementing new processes.
Working knowledge of protein manufacturing, processing, and analysis that will be used to make sound, technical assessments from small-scale studies.

To be considered for the Associate Manager Process Sciences you must be willing and able to work Monday- Friday, 8am-4:30pm. You must have a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related field, with 6 years of experience including leadership experience. We highly prefer background and experience in the Pharmaceutical or Biopharmaceutical industry. Level is determined based on qualifications relevant to the role.
