Process Engineering Technician provides technical support to engineers to ensure production goals of the organization are met. Provides assistance related to the review of existing and design of new manufacturing equipment, processes, and plants. Being a Process Engineering Technician may suggest or implement equipment purchases, modifications or calibration changes that could result in improved productivity or reduced costs related to production. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Process Engineering Technician typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Process Engineering Technician may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.     Role Summary

    Internship Term: Summer 2024

    Rivian internships are experiences optimized for student candidates.To be eligible, you must be an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited program during the internship term with an expected graduation date between Fall 2024 and 2027.

    Responsibilities

    What to expect as a Processing Engienering Summer Intern:

    • Be part of a world-class team, with a focus on high quality and rapid project deployment.
    • Challenge assumptions and be an advocate for best practices.
    • Discover your potential with cross-functional partnerships and be an asset to your leadership team.
    • Work to define process flows and identify inefficiencies.
    • Identify and lead scrap reduction initiatives.
    • Design new tooling.
    • Develop Job instructions.
    • Evaluate Dimensional data.

    Qualifications

    • Must be currently pursuing a bachelors degree at an accredited university.
    • Actively pursuing a degree or one closely related in Mechanical, Industrial, or Mechatronics Engineering.
    • Strong communication skills.
    • Ability to work cross-functionally.
    • Experience with data analytics.
    • Ability to work with automation tooling.
    • Excited to problem solve.

    Pay Disclosure

    Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Internships: The range of pay for internships is 25.00-51.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on location, and other factors permitted by law.

    Rivian provides robust wellness benefits, and a medical insurance package for interns, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
