Role Summary

As a Packaging Procurement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in sourcing, negotiating, and managing packaging and other raw materials for our client's textile manufacturing operations in North America. This position calls for a proactive and creative professional who can find cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality. Your contributions will be key to maintaining efficient production processes and fulfilling customer orders with excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales, account management, and production teams to identify material needs and ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Source and negotiate with suppliers for packaging and raw materials, balancing cost with quality.
• Review customer packaging guides to guarantee compliance and conduct fit testing for new packaging solutions.
• Manage inventory levels to maintain adequate supplies without excess.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and scout for new sourcing opportunities.
• Address and resolve supply shortages, quality issues, budget concerns, and invoice discrepancies proactively.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred; high school diploma/GED from an accredited institution required.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in production packaging and procurement, especially with materials required by major retailers.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience in NetSuite considered a plus.
