The Job

DIZPOT’s Procurement Specialists play a crucial role in our sales process by ensuring the timely, cost-effective procurement of materials and products. This position requires a proactive approach to locating key suppliers, negotiating purchasing agreements, and managing the entire fulfillment cycle. You will be responsible for procuring quotes, providing cost estimates, conducting quality control checks, and overseeing the delivery of goods to meet client specifications.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to secure high-quality goods at the lowest possible prices.
• Manage the purchase order (PO) process for customer goods, overseeing every step from procurement to delivery, to ensure timely delivery of goods to customer.
• Communicate with suppliers daily and organize meetings and projects as needed to resolve supply issues. Maintain strong relationships with vendors, leveraging these partnerships to benefit our clients.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with internal teams, such as finance, sales, and operations, to resolve issues or concerns.
• Conduct quality control assessments of both customized and generic goods to ensure they meet all specifications.
• Stay abreast of new and innovative packaging solutions offered by suppliers to continually enhance our product offerings.
• Participate in meetings, contributing to the development and optimization of procurement strategies, changing markets, evolving supplier services, and continuous improvement projects.
• Negotiate purchasing agreements with suppliers on behalf of DIZPOT and its clients, focusing on favorable terms and cost savings to achieve the best pricing possible.
• Obtain, analyze and create quotes from vendors (RFQs) and provide the Sales team with accurate estimates for the cost of goods and shipping.

Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in the MS Windows Suite with an emphasis on MS Excel and Outlook
• Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
• Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Must have a high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency
• Ability to prioritize and manage tasks with minimal direct supervision
• Must be able to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
