About the Role

As our Strategic Sourcing Manager, you’ll be the architect of our fresh produce procurement strategy. You will lead the charge in building strong supplier partnerships, optimizing sourcing processes, and ensuring that quality and sustainability are at the forefront of every decision.

What You'll Do: 

• Develop & Execute Strategies: Build and implement a sourcing strategy that aligns with business goals, emphasizing cost efficiency, quality, and sustainability.
• Supplier Relationships: Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with growers, distributors, and other partners to secure reliable and competitive supply chains.
• Market Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Contract Negotiations: Lead high-stakes negotiations to achieve favorable terms while ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
• Performance Metrics: Monitor supplier performance using KPIs, ensuring alignment with quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams, including Quality Assurance, Operations, and Sales, to meet customer needs and enhance product offerings.
• Sustainability Focus: Drive initiatives that align with the company’s commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable sourcing.

Requirements

What you Bring:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Agribusiness preferred.

• 4 years of strategic sourcing or procurement experience, ideally in a perishable goods industry.

• Proven success in managing supplier relationships and negotiating impactful contracts.

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to secure favorable terms and foster collaboration.

• Data-driven decision-making with analytical problem-solving capabilities.

• Expertise in procurement processes and supplier management best practices.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for analysis and reporting.

• Familiarity with strategic sourcing, industry-specific procurement practices, and ESG-focused initiatives.

• Experience with complex or specialized product categories.
