General Purpose:

Design and develop correct system applications for clients by selecting appropriate components to meet customer’s needs.  Provide direction and engineering mentoring to Design Engineer(s) in sustaining engineering tasks and system creation. 

Duties and Essential Job Functions 

• Perform peer review of engineering changes and engineering documents
• Analyze and evaluate customer specifications 
• Design systems that meet customer requirements 
• Perform design calculations and analysis
• Set up and perform factory acceptance testing
• Research and select components for future use
• Evaluate test data of new components 

Qualifications 

• B.S. Mechanical Engineering/B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology or 5-7 years of mechanical engineering experience
• Detail Oriented with organization and planning competence
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Ability to express both technical and non-technical information to individuals or groups in an organized, accurate, and clear manner
• Verifiable working knowledge of 3D modeling (preferably SolidWorks), AutoCAD (or similar such as DraftSight), Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
• BOM maintenance and creation experience
• Contribute on an individual level but for the good of the whole
• Results driven
• Flexible/Adaptable and embraces changes in priorities as needed on short notice
• Encourage open and candid sharing of information and ideas
• Other duties as assigned
