Product Design Manager manages and coordinates development of new products and improvements to existing products or product lines. Evaluates and ensures design feasibility and design optimization. Being a Product Design Manager may require a bachelor's degree or in a related area. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Product Design Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget.
