Product Development Director plans and directs the resources and processes required to implement the vision and strategy for new product development and product lifecycle management of existing products. Establishes research and concept development projects and capabilities to innovate new products, product enhancements, and product redesign. Being a Product Development Director conducts market analysis and interacts with customers and prospects to identify new markets, articulate the value proposition, define requirements, and lead the development of a product roadmap. Oversees new product development and collaboration with internal stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and manufacturing, to ensure that new and existing products support the organization's financial goals. Additionally, Product Development Director develops teams with the knowledge and expertise to fulfill product development objectives. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Product Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Product Development Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Youth Development Company/PAL is a 25 year old non-profit organization who provides full time and part time opportunities for youth mentoring to school age children during out of school times through homework help, physical activity, creative and fun learning opportunities. We also provide early childhood education to children from infants to 5 years old in a licensed childcare / daycare setting to build the fundamental skills for them to succeed as they embark on their educational journey.
Our out of school time programs are in Bangor, Coloma, Watervliet, and South Haven. YDC Learning Centers are providing care for young children in South Haven and Coloma

○Bachelor’s degree or higher in early childhood education or child development.
○Bachelor’s degree or higher in a child-related field including 18 semester hours and 480 hours of experience.
○Montessori credential with 18 semester hours and 480 hours of experience ○Associate’s degree in early childhood education or child development including 18 semester hours and 480 hours of experience
○Valid Child development associate credential with 18 semester hours and 960 hours of experience
○Sixty semester hours with 18 semester hours and 1,920 hours of experience.
