Product Development Director plans and directs the resources and processes required to implement the vision and strategy for new product development and product lifecycle management of existing products. Establishes research and concept development projects and capabilities to innovate new products, product enhancements, and product redesign. Being a Product Development Director conducts market analysis and interacts with customers and prospects to identify new markets, articulate the value proposition, define requirements, and lead the development of a product roadmap. Oversees new product development and collaboration with internal stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and manufacturing, to ensure that new and existing products support the organization's financial goals. Additionally, Product Development Director develops teams with the knowledge and expertise to fulfill product development objectives. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Product Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Product Development Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.   • Milestones Early Learning is looking to fill the Program Director Position due to company growth.

    The qualifications for this position include: an Associate’s degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education or Bachelor’s degree in same or related field. Your degree must include 18 credit hours of early childhood/child development courses including the 2 semester hours/credits in child care administration (official school transcripts only please), be at least 21 years of age, be CPR and First Aid certified or willing to obtain, valid chauffeurs license or willing to obtain with acceptable driving record, and prior childcare managerial experience preferred.

    Ideal candidates should be caring, dependable, flexible, work well under pressure, enthusiastic, organized, motivated, and work well in a team-oriented environment.

    Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to the following):

    • Maintains a positive working relationship with directing team members
    • Hours of availability must include all hours of center operation (M-F 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM) with a rotating schedule determined with your schedule in mind and working with your team.
    • Implement all recruiting, hiring, evaluating and supervising of all childcare center staff
    • Maintain accurate records of staff
    • Recruit, orient, and enroll all children and families
    • Supervise all child assessment and curriculum development
    • Partner with families and staff to create a positive environment
    • Implement necessary child/family referrals
    • Assist in center budget development
    • Administer and prepare all necessary reports required by Milestones Early Learning
    • Supervise all purchasing related to childcare operations
    • Maintain all appropriate contacts with the local and state licensing offices
    • Maintain accurate Procare records
    • Plan/approve menus and supervise food program staff
    • Maintain positive contact with school district personnel, building tenants, rental contacts, churches, and any other contacts affiliated with Milestones Early Learning
    • Be a childcare advocate in the community
    • Maintain confidentiality in areas that pertain to staff, children, and families
    • Valuing and supporting each staff, child, and family without regard to race, religion, or national origin
    • Assume any additional responsibilities or duties as directed by the Central Office staff of Milestones Early Learning
