Product Engineer is responsible for designing and developing a product/product family. Ensures production procedures efficiently utilize materials and personnel. Being a Product Engineer tests finished product for quality purposes and recommends changes to product specifications as necessary. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Additionally, Product Engineer typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Product Engineer typically requires 0-2 years of related experience.   • Primary Duties & Responsibilities

    The product engineer will be responsible for:
    1)    Monitoring yields, reporting discrepancies versus plan, and ensuring effective coordination and communication of these operations with the Sales, Manufacturing and RD&E teams.  
    2)    Coordinating and monitoring the material characterization and quality assessment activities in the context of production and development of SiC material. 
    3)    Supporting continual improvement of ISO-9000 Quality Management System. 
    4)    Maintaining and updating product specifications in accordance with the established procedures. 
    5)    Provides operational management information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing operating and engineering data and trends. 
    6)    Monitoring and enforcing data integrity and proper database utilization in all manufacturing areas. Including, but not limited to SPC with respect to performance (parametric) data.

    Education & Experience

    • BS or MS in Engineering, Material Sciences, Physics, Mathematics or related STEM field.
    • 3 years experience  in manufacturing of advanced materials or semiconductors
    • Experience in crystal growth for semiconductor applications is desired
