  • Kentucky Housing Corporation Job Description  Job Title: Mortgage Production Administrator Work Group: Single-Family Programs FLSA Status: Exempt Reports to: Managing Director Single-Family Programs   GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Position is responsible for managing all aspects of Single-Family’s lender relationships with the ultimate goal to increase production of Kentucky Housing Corporation’s (KHC) residential mortgage loans statewide.  Requires a strong working knowledge of all Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and other federal regulations as it relates to the entire origination process for insuring FHA, VA, RHS and conventional loans. Conducts technical trainings to lenders and Realtors with extensive travel across the state. Works with internal staff and external partners to help develop new products and services to the Commonwealth.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ·     Develop and conduct technical trainings with existing and new lender partners that identify opportunities to increase production.  Evaluate, recruit and train new lenders to replace inactive lenders or to fill in service gaps in underserved areas.  Develop and execute a Kentucky Real Estate Commission (KREC) approved real estate continuing education course offered statewide through partnerships with local Realtor associations.  Implement strategies to increase KHC’s market share by identifying new products.    ·    Communicate effectively with lenders/realtors via eGrams, telephones or personal visits.  Maintain all Program Guides, marketing materials, as well as KHC’s lender/realtor/homebuyer portions of the website. Work with Communications and Marketing Services department on developing new marketing tools for our partners. ·       Research and track regulatory changes in the mortgage industry- such as Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure (TRID) Home Ownership and Equity Protection Act (HOEPA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), Lender Compensation, HUD, USDA, VA and GSE’s.  Anticipate their impact on Single-Family Programs and incorporate them as needed into program Guides and KHC’s Lender Agreements.    Knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position: Knowledge of: ·        Federal housing programs, laws and regulations ·        Word processing/ spreadsheet applications such as Microsoft Word/Excel ·        Basic rules of grammar and business writing ·        Basic mathematic principles  Skill in: ·        Collecting, analyzing and evaluating data ·        Dealing with a diverse group of external and internal contacts at all levels ·        Analyzing problems and reaching solutions ·        Developing, implementing and coordinating of policies and procedures  Ability to: ·        Plan and organize work activities ·      Prepare reports ·        Present ideas effectively ·        Handle sensitive/confidential information ·        Travel extensively throughout the state which may include overnight stays ·        Develop work plans and implement projects independently ·        Work in an unsupervised environment  Additional Information: Position requires knowledge of MS Office Suite products.  Position requires ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people, including external contacts as well as cross-departmental teams; ability to work in a team and as an individual to gain consensus; ability to multitask; ability to deal effectively with conflict; ability to work well under high pressure situations; ability to plan and present ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing; Position requires strong analytical skills, including problem-solving and attention to detail.      The individual must possess strong communication skills in presenting to a live audience, webinar or through PowerPoint.  Must be creative and forward thinking in developing forms, programs, procedures, and marketing tools.   The position requires the use of personal vehicle to travel extensively throughout the state which may require overnight stays.  The position may require out-of-state travel to attend trainings or conferences.  Education Requirements: This level of knowledge would normally be acquired through completion of a bachelor’s degree program in business administration, accounting, communications, marketing, management or public administration from an accredited college or university.  A minimum of four years’ related experience may be substituted for the degree requirements.  Experience Requirements: Position requires more than three years’ up-to-date experience in the mortgage industry. This could be in the loan origination, underwriting or management area.  Experience must also include creation, implementation and presentation skills to effectively train participants.    Required Competencies: Written Communication: Is able to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles.  Has the ability to get messages across that have the desired effect.  Customer Focus: Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.Ethics and Values: Adheres to the corporate values of respect, commitment and integrity.Organizational and Priority Setting Skills:  Sets goals and objectives; identifies roadblocks; uses time effectively and efficiently and is able to handle uncertainty and cope with change.Initiative: Effectively completes assigned tasks, seeks additional opportunities and continuously strives to improve skills and abilities.
