Position Overview
The Systems Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the organization's IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability. This role involves a variety of administrative and technical tasks aimed at supporting the network, systems, and various applications within the organization, particularly in the manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the organization's servers, networks, and IT infrastructure.
- Perform regular system backups and recovery operations to ensure data integrity.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Administer ERP systems and ensure seamless integration with other business applications.
- Implement and manage security protocols to protect sensitive data.
- Oversee patch management and updates for all systems and applications.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to staff and users.
- Configure and manage WiFi and LAN network components to ensure connectivity and performance.
- Utilize Commvault for data management and backup solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT projects and initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of system and network administration, including WAN and LAN environments.
- Experience with ERP administration and management.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies, particularly vSphere.
- Excellent problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teams.
- Experience with backup and recovery solutions, specifically Commvault.
- Knowledge of security protocols and best practices in IT administration.
- Resourcefulness and a proactive approach to IT challenges.
