Production Artist - Web jobs in Minnesota

We operate as a boutique or lab as we identify white space in uninspired product categories and dominate them. Our brands include a line of game-changing cleaning products, savory seasoning coatings and soon to launch Pet collection.

We are looking for a part time/project-based production artist with the possibility to grow into full time. We need someone who will be maniacal about the details and help us continue to grow. You’ll need to catch the typos that everyone else misses, with a focus on resolutions, color and size accuracies, production values – and much more. We are looking for a skilled spot checker, taste tester and quality assurer of graphics design to help ensure the work that goes out the door is error-free and ready for print.

Responsibilities & expectations include:

• Prepare final, press-ready files based on supplied specifications for several types of printing

• strict attention to detail, outstanding file-organization and archiving skills are a must

• Make various formats of supplied artwork production-ready and resolve any artwork issues that arise during production

• Provide image retouching, clipping paths and additional image manipulation

• Package and prepare files for release to printers

• Create PDFs for print and team review

• Prepare images for online and mobile applications

• Maintain production files, including fonts, images, logos and other artwork

• Follow a development timeline to ensure tasks are being completed on time

Mandatory software skills needed include:

• Adobe Acrobat for PDF manipulation

• Adobe Illustrator for drawing & layout

• Adobe Photoshop for image editing
