Production Control Clerk performs clerical tasks that support production control and ensure the efficient flow of materials required by production schedules. Monitors the inventory of parts, components, and raw materials and coordinates ordering, invoicing, and scheduling with vendors. Being a Production Control Clerk tracks status of customer orders and production schedules to identify issues or delays and coordinates with stakeholders to expedite orders and resolve problems. Inputs and maintains production data in ERP, MRP, or other databases. Additionally, Production Control Clerk requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager. The Production Control Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. BASIC DESCRIPTION:
The key responsibility is managing inventory accuracy for both raw components and finished goods, which are continuously moving. This position collaborates closely with Shipping/Receiving, Purchasing, and Production to maintain Bill of Materials, generate and close Work Tickets, and implement necessary adjustments.
