Description

This entry-level Production Clerk is an important support role at Heidtman Steel. The key function of this job is to provide clerical support to the production supervisors as well as the quality and safety departments. The successful candidate will have computer and interpersonal skills and must be able to adapt to changing needs in a dynamic industry.

Responsibilities

• Enter incoming jobs, review outgoing jobs & update truck list. Deliver jobs to the production floor.
• Track work orders, SHOC cards, training records, gauge & calibrations and track non-steel inventory.
• Scan & file production orders. Pick up, scan and file receivers. Assist with receiving in coils.
• Taking pictures and quality checks. Assist with auditing.
• Update and create JSAs and SWIs as needed.
• Prepare meeting minutes.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office products

• Ability to stay on task with frequent interruptions

• Must have high attention to detail and sense of urgency

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment is helpful

• This position requires time spent on the production where hard hat, steel toe boots, safety glasses and hearing protection is required.
