Production Control Clerk performs clerical tasks that support production control and ensure the efficient flow of materials required by production schedules. Monitors the inventory of parts, components, and raw materials and coordinates ordering, invoicing, and scheduling with vendors. Being a Production Control Clerk tracks status of customer orders and production schedules to identify issues or delays and coordinates with stakeholders to expedite orders and resolve problems. Inputs and maintains production data in ERP, MRP, or other databases. Additionally, Production Control Clerk requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager. The Production Control Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. What You'll Do: Supervises, establishes and coordinates the production schedules in a factory environment. Ensures the flow of materials, parts and assemblies between or within departments. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Will focus heavily on maximizing the efficiency, effectiveness and quality of the production operation and final product. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Develop/maintain material and inventory control systems supporting customers with on-time delivery. Support material activity associated with a directed buy process and assist in resolving contract Manage material scheduling, engineering change process and monthly freights budgets. Establish and maintain strong relationships with the supplier and customer. Support the team with material storage issues; along with shipping and receiving dock. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. 5-10 years pf production and process improvement experience.
