Production Control Clerk performs clerical tasks that support production control and ensure the efficient flow of materials required by production schedules. Monitors the inventory of parts, components, and raw materials and coordinates ordering, invoicing, and scheduling with vendors. Being a Production Control Clerk tracks status of customer orders and production schedules to identify issues or delays and coordinates with stakeholders to expedite orders and resolve problems. Inputs and maintains production data in ERP, MRP, or other databases. Additionally, Production Control Clerk requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager. The Production Control Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Pre-Employment Process: Incumbents must pass a background investigation, which includes fingerprinting, work history & education check, as well as a job-related physical exam and drug screening.
Shift: Candidates may be assigned to Swing or Day shift depending on need. The County pays an hourly differential for those employees

Work Schedule: Some positions may be assigned to a schedule of less than full-time (80 hours) per two-week pay period.Sponsorship: Please note San Bernardino County is not able to consider candidates who will require visa sponsorship at the time of application or in the future.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of experience equivalent to San Bernardino County's, Computer Operations
Specialist, or Computer Operations Supervisor in an enterprise systems production environment.
-AND-REQUIRED EDUCATION: Fifteen (15) semester (23 quarter) units of completed college level coursework in computer operations, programming, or data processing.
