As a Production/Process Engineer, you will provide production/process engineering support to the site for ongoing production operations and new process introductions. You will also serve as a resource for implementing engineering studies, designs, evaluations, and improvements to optimize utilizations.
Ø Key responsibilities:
Determine continuous improvement opportunities and implement improvements in the production units to optimize utilization (throughput, quality, safety, efficiency).
Ø Assist in day-to-day troubleshooting of equipment and processes
Ø Monitor productivity, process yields, and product and process performance to meet production commitments in an efficient manner.
Ø Develops plans and coordinates projects from inception to completion ensuring efficient implementation, timely completion, and compliance to budget.
Ø Ensure employees are trained on new and/or updated process changes and equipment design.
Ø Ensure operating procedures are current and in compliance with appropriate standards.
ü Key requirements:
Bachelor's degree, in Chemical Engineering is a MUST
ü 3-10 years experience as a Production Engineer or similar, preferably in high-hazard chemical plants (OSHA PSM)
ü Working knowledge of Process Controls System
ü Experience with or working knowledge of the following preferred; controls systems such as Honeywell or Allan Bradley; OE (Operational Excellence)
ü Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suites such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
ü Strong communication and interpersonal skills
