Production Engineering Manager manages the planning and designing of methods to improve or enhance existing programs. Oversees the analysis and review of budgets, schedules, production requirements and headcount to determine the most cost effective and efficient methods of obtaining necessary resources. Being a Production Engineering Manager develops and recommends revisions or enhancements to schedules, human and monetary resource allocations, and production requirements. Ensures projects are completed on time. Additionally, Production Engineering Manager acts as advisor to production engineering team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a unit/department head. The Production Engineering Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     We’re looking for a National Data & Inventory Manager to join our team. In this position, you will utilize your technical expertise to compile inventory data from multiple sources and organize it in a manner in which it can be easily evaluated at multiple levels throughout the company. In other words, you will turn data into information, and information into insight, and insight into actionable business decisions. Additionally, you will lead the Data team and ensure that VMI data is updated, accurate, and effectively communicated to the local and national sales teams.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage the data side of the industrial tool & MRO VMI program and lead the Data team.
    • Work closely with the Pricing team to ensure data is accurate & reflects current conditions
    • Manage all onsite VMI inventory, approve stock overrides, and coordinate with local teams to maintain turns.
    • Coordinate with National Vending Manager on development of all reporting for customer presentations, automation, etc.
    • Effectively communicate at the national and local levels to ensure consistent understanding of objectives & procedures.
    • Supervisory responsibility of Data team, including performance management, goal development, and training on best practices.
    • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
    • Maintain quality of data and process efficiencies while providing for continuous departmental improvements.
    • Assist with other projects & duties when the business needs require.

    Required Experience:


    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS POSITION:

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or 4 years of related experience
    • Demonstrated experience working with large volumes of data
    • Demonstrated experience using Access, SQL Database, Crystal Reports, Power BI, etc.
    • Ability to listen to an explanation of need and visualize that in the data with little direction
    • Ability to effectively execute on initiatives in an environment that is everchanging, often with little notice
    • Keen eye for detail & ability to recognize subtle anomalies in data
    • Plan and organize tasks & work responsibilities to achieve goals and objectives while remaining calm & professional under pressure
    • Customer-centric attitude and a desire to grow with & contribute to customer-focused company
    • Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and interpersonal are required
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
