Production Engineering Manager manages the planning and designing of methods to improve or enhance existing programs. Oversees the analysis and review of budgets, schedules, production requirements and headcount to determine the most cost effective and efficient methods of obtaining necessary resources. Being a Production Engineering Manager develops and recommends revisions or enhancements to schedules, human and monetary resource allocations, and production requirements. Ensures projects are completed on time. Additionally, Production Engineering Manager acts as advisor to production engineering team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a unit/department head. The Production Engineering Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. For more information, please visit www.lggindustrial.com ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY Role Profile Position: Production Specialist Job Location: Moss Point, MS Job Type: Full-Time Status: Non-Exempt Summary of the Role This position is responsible for a variety of tasks that are manufacturing or distribution based and may include assembling and manufacturing sales orders, picking product from the warehouse, shipping and receiving, and where required, delivery of products to customers. Responsibilities Must maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures. Assembles products to company, customer and manufacturer’s standards Performs all product testing to quality standards as required by the customer and per company work instruction Receives incoming shipments into inventory, posts in online system and places items in warehouse. Picks product in warehouse and prepares items for delivery or shipping Delivers product as required Operates mechanical equipment, hand tools, forklifts and picking lifts (if applicable) Assists with physical inventory Makes recommendations to management with respect to product and process improvements Performs other related duties as required Skills and Abilities Applicants should possess the ability to interact with team members in a professional manner. Must have good communication skills Requires basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in units of measure. Basic mechanical skills including the use of hand tools. Basic computer skills preferred, including email and internet Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older 3-5 years of related warehousing or production experience A high school diploma or GED Reliable transportation is a must Ability to work overtime, as required Ability to pull, push, grasp, bend, lift and carry up to 50lbs independently on a repeated basis.
