Production Engineering Supervisor supervises a team of production engineers who plan and design methods to improve or enhance existing programs. Assists in analyzing and reviewing budgets, schedules, production requirements and headcount to determine the most cost effective and efficient methods of obtaining necessary resources. Being a Production Engineering Supervisor develops and recommends revisions or enhancements to schedules, human and monetary resource allocations, and production requirements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Production Engineering Supervisor typically reports to a manager. The Production Engineering Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes.     Job Description

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Oversight and management of front-line manufacturing employees. Typically managing hourly employee populations.
    • Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
    • Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
    • May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
    • A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be required to lead a junior team.

    Required Qualifications

    • High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Manufacturing, OR Military Training.
    • Ability and willingness to work the Off-Shift- 3rd Shift (11pm-7am).

    Eligibility Requirements

    • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future.
    • This is a 100% onsite role in the Schenectady, NY Production Facility.

    Desired Characteristics

    • Previous Supervisory / Team Lead experience in the manufacturing environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex problems.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
    • Established project management skills.

    The base pay range for this position is $74,800- $84,000 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for 5 % variable incentive compensation and 10% Night Shift Differential.

    This posting is expected to close on 5/3/2024 or when suitable candidate identified.

    *The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
