  • Summary

    Production Manager will be responsible for manufacturing of PLUS Products in a safe, efficient, and quality-fashion manner. Responsible for supervising, managing, and mentoring staff, as well as organizing and monitoring workflow across the production floor.    

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

    • Ensure manufacturing personnel follow all safety, quality and GMP protocols
    • Complete production plan by creating work orders, scheduling, and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
    • Accomplishes manufacturing staff results of all shifts by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
    • Maintains and motivates staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, developing personal growth opportunities for the employees.
    • Ensures that all processes and documentation adhere to the documented SOPs
    • Define, implement, and improve plant audit and sanitation program and daily/monthly metrics tracking and devises necessary corrective and preventative actions.
    • Gain a working knowledge of DCC and CDPH regulations for cannabis manufacturers to ensure the plant remains compliant.
    • Optimizes the workflow processes by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
    • Leads manufacturing team and other areas to develop projects to continuously improve processes performance based on KPIs data and cost reduction needs.
    • Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements.
    • Maintains a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
    • Performs work in quality fashion.
    • Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
    • Use required PPE per OSHA regulations ? Perform other duties as assigned

    Education and/or Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree required
    • Requires 2 years of related experience
    • Experience in working in the cannabis industry, or alternatively, in a highly regulated CPG/F&B industry
    • Experience with Cannabis related equipment
    • Experience using hand and electrical tools

    Travel

    May be required to travel on occasion.

     

    Required:

    • Must be 21 years old.
    • Must be a self-starter with minimal supervision, able to work independently and in a team environment
    • This position requires a 40-hour minimum work week
    • Flexible availability for work hours.
    • Willingness to work weekends and holidays if needed

The employee must be able to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 15-50 pounds.

    • Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
