Production Painter operates a spray painter or other equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metals or products. Mixes paints and other solutions and monitors drying to ensure desired results. Being a Production Painter completes finishing with baking, polishing or other materials. Follows all required safety procedures. Additionally, Production Painter may paint items by hand as needed. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to supervisor/manager. May require an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. The Production Painter possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Painter to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the painting industry, with a strong preference for those with 5 years plus experience. The Senior Painter will lead and coordinate painting projects, ensuring that work is completed to the highest standards and that clients are satisfied with the final product.
Responsibilities:
● Lead and coordinate painting projects, including planning and execution of painting jobs
● Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, filling, and priming
● Apply paint or other finishes to surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
● Ensure that work is completed to the highest standards and that clients are satisfied with the final product
● Communicate with clients to understand their requirements and preferences
● Maintain equipment and tools, ensuring that they are in good working order and properly maintained.
● Ensure that health and safety regulations are adhered to on all painting projects
● Train and mentor junior painters on painting techniques and industry standards
Requirements:
● Minimum 3 years of experience in the painting industry, preferred 5 years plus
● Excellent knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and equipment
● Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
● Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team
● Ability to lead and mentor junior painters
● Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
● Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
