Production Scheduler Manager jobs in Franklin, TN

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Effectively links changing demand information with manufacturing capability and WIP to create optimized production schedules.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creates and maintains capacity planning and production scheduling tools and processes used in daily production meetings.
• Interacts with operations and engineering to maintain accurate capacity statements and planning parameters, such as hours per unit.
• Obtains input from program management regarding critical customer requirements and expedites, and from NPI/Materials for new product and rework build requirements.
• Uses customer order backlog and clear to build tools to establish orders to release to production.
• Creates production schedules considering customer demand, material availability, line loading, and capacity.
• Works with warehouse and production to ensure alignment to schedule and production line assignments.
• Expedites operations and test for priority WIP.
• Provides input to Materials to expedite delivery of material shortages needed to meet the schedule.
• Plans, creates, and communicates work orders for supply of in-house assemblies.
• Analyzes production performance versus plan with Operations and the cross-functional team to implement solutions and process improvements for performance issues.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• BS or BA degree preferred or equivalent work experience in Operations or Materials.
• 2-4 yrs experience and knowledge of a variety of manufacturing activities including planning and production scheduling.
• CPIM/CPM certification a plus.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Proficiency in MS Office software (especially excel) required.
• Excellent analysis and problem solving skills with the ability to make independent decisions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to interact with both internal and external customers.
• Strong teamwork and group facilitation skills with ability to provide leadership in one-on-one and team environments.
• SAP experience a plus.
