Production Scheduler Manager manages the development, preparation, and maintenance of production schedules to guide the production activities and resources that achieve maximum efficiency and meet output and timeline objectives. Collaborates with internal teams to assess and incorporate materials, inventories, resource availability, and delivery commitments into schedules. Being a Production Scheduler Manager monitors production progress and develops revised scheduling responsive to changes in the flow of materials, designs, equipment, or other resources. Utilizes ERP systems, planning and scheduling software, or other database tools to develop and maintain master schedules. Additionally, Production Scheduler Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Production Scheduler Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. The Lexington KY plant has an outstanding opportunity for a passionate individual to assume the role of Production Scheduler (Dowstream Flow Controller).
What will you do? Ensure continuous needs / resources balance for raw material, components, sub-assemblies, and finished products by managing the customer’s needs (customer order CCMP’s).
Manage the replenishment backlog (creation and rescheduling of the manufacturing and purchase orders) Coordinate Queue Management and / or production scheduling.
Manage the backorder portfolio, and ensure product availability by taking action to solve backorders and shortages. Daily action regarding Materials Requirement Planning messages (SAP example : MD07) and escalate when repeatable issues.
Actively participate in SIM cycle 2. What qualifications will make you successful? Degree preferred, not required. Equivalent experience and skills can be substituted for education.
3 years experience in Purchasing / Supply Chain is preferred. SAP experience is a plus not required. Strong drive and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Strong relationship management skills. Strong negotiation skills are a plus. Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Experience performing cost analysis, considering TCO. Must be able to effectively and professionally communicate with various departments, suppliers, and levels of personnel.
