Production Scheduler/Planner

The Production Scheduler/Planner works closely with manufacturing, shipping/receiving, purchasing, and customer service departments to ensure orders are fulfilled, material acquired, and inventory balances are maintained accurately.
The Production Scheduler/Planner will manage and oversee the production schedule for the company and all incoming and outgoing shipments.

Responsibilities include:

• Coordinate deliveries of incoming goods with carriers and update ERP receiving system with all pertinent information.
• Plan and schedule production activities to meet customer demand and optimize production capacity.
• Update ERP production schedule per customer requirements and create production jobs and customer specific labels with various software programs.
• Review and provide lead times for manufactured items by coordinating with production and purchasing.
• Create shipping paperwork to support outbound deliveries.
• Obtain bids and create purchase orders for materials and services per customer and company requirements.
• Develop and implement lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and optimize production processes.
• Analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
• Provide accurate and timely freight and production reports to management.
• Other duties as assigned.

Strong written/verbal communication skills and attention to detail along with good math and computer skills are essential. An aptitude for problem solving is a must.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
