The Production Scheduler will be responsible managing the manufacturing schedules. The role requires superior organization and planning skills, since production schedulers examine customer orders, available staff and inventory, and machinery capabilities to effectively set and manage production schedules, often for multiple lines. The production scheduler will also be responsible for monitoring manufacturing performance and actively adjusting schedules in response to equipment failures or supply shortages. They will also identify opportunities to make processes more efficient and cut down on production cost through more effective scheduling.

Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience:

• 1-2 years of Scheduling experience
• 1-2 years of Manufacturing experience
• Knowledge of scheduling software preferred
• Window industry experience is strongly preferred

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Analyze customer orders and request, delivery dates, plant personnel and equipment capabilities, and inventory availability, to create an actionable and efficient production schedule.
• Prioritizing workflow to ensure customer deadlines are met.
• Adjust production schedule based on changing conditions within the manufacturing pipeline such as equipment breakdowns, or delayed material deliveries.
• Become familiar with the company’s manufacturing process, workforce, equipment capabilities, and physical inventories.
• Identify opportunities to improve the manufacturing and production process through more effective schedule management.
• Prepare reports outlining production activities and effectiveness, comparing expected output to actual output, and identifying areas for improvement.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Position may will require some bending, lifting, pulling and pushing up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in an office setting and, in a warehouse/production environment; loud machine noised from production machinery, and possible exposure to hot/cold temperatures depending on season.
