Job Description:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the planning, scheduling, and directing the work of assigned production lines. The position is responsible for the management and development of production line employees to reach/exceed established goals and metrics.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, shifting priorities as necessary.

· Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.

· Ability to adapt and expedite to changing conditions.

· Proficient use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities:

· Supervise team of production employees; ensure team is adequately staffed, managed, trained, and evaluated.

· Set daily / weekly / monthly objectives and communicate them to production team.

· Establish line assignments and staffing depending on the line priority list.

· Work with employees to establish efficiency standards and measure performance to targets.

· Manage workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality.

· Coordinate training to promote learning and address gaps in capabilities. Cross training will be a key component in providing production flexibility.

· Responsible for all aspects of production, production supply inventories, tool requirements, repairs, and maintenance.

· Ensure effective employee relations. Provide employee coaching and development, making employment decisions as needed.

· Facilitate the review process, from documentation to in person delivery.

· Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards.

Qualifications

· High school diploma or (GED); Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

· Three or more years of supervisory/lead experience in manufacturing required.

· Mechanical and or technical background required.
