Small, growing, well-established CPA Tax Preparation Firm in Gillette, NJ with a great working environment is seeking a Part-Time Income Tax Preparer on a Year-Round Basis with the month of July off and Flexible Hours (at least 1,000 hours per year). Opportunity for growth and advancement. The ideal candidate will have partnership potential with 4 years or more professional public accounting experience as an Income Tax Preparer preparing complex income tax returns for individuals. CPA or Enrolled Agent status required. Some Audit experience helpful. We work flexible schedules in a beautiful suburban office building with a parking lot. Hours are flexible to meet each employee's individual needs, including home and children’s issues. We generally begin the day at 10:00 AM to allow for personal tasks in the morning.
If you are someone thinking of leaving public accounting, but still love Individual Income Tax work, our firm may be the answer. Our working schedule and conditions are very respectful of your personal time. The candidate will work flexible hours Monday through Friday with no weekends, and can take off for the whole month of July. Work week option of less days, but minimum of 20 hours, available and acceptable also.
The candidate will not be able to work remotely from home.
Qualifications:
4 years or more professional income tax preparation experience preparing complex income tax returns( i.e. K-1 Investments, Stock Options, Tax planning) and the ability to perform tax research
Certified Public Accountant or Enrolled Agent Status Required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent attention to detail with a high quality for accuracy
Prior Audit experience preferred
Highly proficient with Thomson Reuters UltraTax and/or ProSystem FX
