Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Accounting provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Accounting typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. Accounting Clerk
A local company in Fort Walton Beach is looking for a full-time Accounting Clerk to relay the most positive and professional image possible. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with superior communication and customer service skills to join a supportive and friendly company.
What you’ll be doing to make an impact:- Data entry – Vendor Invoices and payments. General Ledger entries including transfers, deposits and miscellaneous entries.
- Vendors – Update accounting system with new invoices and keep track of what is due and when.
- Customer invoices and payments – Keep track of when to bill contracts and when payments are due. Spreadsheets showing detailed contract Cost-to-date, what has been billed, and balance to complete contract.
- Communicate with Customers (contracting officers, AP, etc.) as needed.
- Create Job Codes and Job Cost Reports – Assigning job numbers to new contracts.
- Balance and reconcile multiple asset and liability accounts (Bank Accounts, Loans and Credit Card Reconciliations) to general ledger.
- Collecting timesheets
- Gathering total hours worked and PTO to be submitted for PR processing.
- Allocating cost to each job number by employee.
- Keep timesheet template updated with new job numbers.
What you’ll bring to the table:- Degree in Accounting related field with experience in computerized accounting.
- Familiarity with ERP or SAP, SAGE accounting, Peachtree accounting a plus
- Familiarity with WAWF/PIEE government billing
- SAM and other government registrations
- Proficient understanding and use of Microsoft Office
- Familiar with DCMA/DCAA rules & regulations a big plus
- Must be motivated, self-starter that completes task in timely manner with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish task.
- Make suggestions on how to make processes more efficient.
- Must be detailed oriented and organized.
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management and external consultants/agencies to maximize performance and get results.
- Support other team members.
- For this position, starting pay is $50,000 to $60,000 annually
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
