JOB PURPOSE:
The Department of Molecular Biology at the University of Wyoming seeks candidates for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor starting in the fall of 2023. Areas of expertise may include biochemistry, biophysics, cell biology, computational biology, developmental biology, genetics, genomics, glycobiology, immunology, microbiology, molecular biology, structural biology, synthetic biology, systems biology, and virology.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The qualified candidate is expected to develop a productive, extramurally funded research program. The candidate is also expected to have a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate education and participate in teaching in the core Molecular Biology curriculum.
The Department of Molecular Biology is a research-intensive academic unit with broad expertise in biochemistry, biotechnology, cell biology, developmental biology, genetics, glycobiology, immunology, and microbiology (http://www.uwyo.edu/molecbio/).
