We are currently seeking to fill the following position:
Job Title: Chemistry Lab Analyst
Location: Thomaston and Naugatuck
Shift: 1st = 6 am to 2:30 pm
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
The purpose of this position is to support the company’s operational needs by providing chemistry and analytic support to all company locations. The task performed will assist to ensure chemistry of operations is within specifications to produce quality parts along with complying with environmental requirements.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

· Regular attendance in accordance with Attendance Policy
· Attend and complete all mandatory trainings by necessary completion date

· Read specification requirements and perform lab tests for internal customers
· Sample preparation, analysis and certification
· Data entry into various computer databases to facilitate company and quality objectives
· Understand and meet customer requirements
· Initiate, collect, review and file all lab related documents (ex. Inspection reports, etc)
· Comply with supervisory interaction and chain of command
· Review and respond to daily e-mails
· Draw samples and analyze plating solutions for each dept. according to schedule
· Distribute "Chemical Additions" sheets to each dept
· Retrieve add sheets and store for future reference
· Analyze Waste Treatment samples on "weekly sample day"
· AA analysis: Zn, Ni, Cu, Al, Fe, Ag
· Conduct periodic Dept audits
· Inspection of depts. (general housekeeping, filters)
· Inspection of rectifiers
· Daily Verification of pH and temps
· Hull cell analysis to be conducted periodically and when troubleshooting solutions
· Work with QC to conduct Root Cause Analysis for non-conformance/rejections
· Monthly order for chemistry for the LAB
· Special projects related to both process development and troubleshooting non-conformance
· Interface with chemical suppliers
· Maintain records for precious metal reclamation
ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS
· Perform all other duties as assigned
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Education: High School Diploma Preferred with advanced education in Chemistry
___1______Minimum Years of Experience in Chemistry, Plating or related field Preferred
Demonstrate skills in:

· Computer – MS Office suite
