Professor - Communication teaches courses in the discipline area of communication. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Communication provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Communication typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     This is an incredibly rewarding career that allows you to help others every single day. This individual will serve as a communication link with all emergency responders; will monitor and operate a variety of communications equipment; and will assist the public with all emergency communication-related needs. Requires equivalency to completion of twelfth grade and a clear criminal background history. General experience dealing with the public in a service environment is desirable.

    Starting salary of $3,305 per month with increase after fully trained. Walsh County offers an excellent benefits package! Sign-on bonus of $3,000 for individuals who remain with the county for 3 years! (Paid out in $1,000 increments at the completion of each year). Benefits included are health, dental and vision as well as an excellent retirement package.
