Duties:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including taking dental x-rays, suctioning, and passing instruments
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Take and record patient vital signs
- Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring impressions and trimming models
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation and patient records
- Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or relevant dental experience preferred
- Proficiency in dental software systems such as Dentrix, Epic, or Eaglesoft
- Knowledge of medical coding and insurance billing processes
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control protocols
- Ability to take accurate patient assessments and record vital signs
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
