Being a Professor - Dentistry provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Dentistry typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     The Veterinary Technician works in tandem with our veterinarians and anesthesiologist to provide anesthesia and analgesia services, dental radiographs, cleanings, and dental charting to our patients.     In addition to traditional Veterinary Technician duties, you will participate in:

    • Advanced history taking
    • Advanced imaging
    • Conducting physical examinations and patient assessments
    • Rounding with the doctor on cases using learned dentistry knowledge
    • Providing consistently compassionate care for our hospitalized patients

    Requirements:

    • Licensure in New York State (LVT/RVT)
    • 2 years’ experience as a Veterinary Technician
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and an ability to clearly communicate with clients as well as team members
    • The ability to adapt while maintaining a positive attitude
    • Highly evolved organizational skills with an acute attention to detail
    • The ability to work independently, responsibly, and ethically
    • A resourceful nature and creative problem-solving skills
    • An openness to feedback, coaching, and continuous learning
    • A commitment to the welfare of animals
