Professor - Dentistry jobs in Portland, ME
Professor - Dentistry teaches courses in the discipline area of dentistry. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Dentistry provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Dentistry typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. Children’s Dentistry of Maine is hiring an individual to step into the role of Practice Administrator at a high volume pediatric dental office in Saco. We are looking for someone who has previous experience with billing, processing dental claims, and pre-authorizations. We use Curve as a practice management software and Weave for phones and 2 way texting.
Responsibilities include:
- Scheduling in-office IV sedation and OR with Maine Medical Center
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Processing and posting insurance claims
- Weekly and monthly Reports
- Processing patient referrals
- Professional communication with referring offices
- Financial agreements
Pay:
- From $26/Hour based on experience

- The office annually closes the week of July 4th, and the week between Christmas and January 1st.
