Professor - Drama teaches courses in the discipline area of drama and theater arts. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Drama provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Drama typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     Essential Functions

    • Utilize the outdoors environment in theatre whenever possible.
    • Provide age-appropriate theatre activities for all groups.
    • Work with the Day Camp Coordinator and other staff members in the coordination the theatre program as it relates to the overall camp program.
    • Assist campers in demonstrating and coordinating the theatre program.
    • Cognitive and communication abilities to plan and conduct the activity to achieve camper development objectives. 
    • Observe camper behavior assess its appropriateness, enforces appropriate safety regulations and emergency procedures and apply appropriate management techniques.
    • Help campers come up with camp skits and talents to perform in front of the camp.
    • Contribute to the overall camp program in a positive manner and provide enough experiences for children through expression in theatre.
