Professor - Drama teaches courses in the discipline area of drama and theater arts. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Drama provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Drama typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.   • Provides Architectural Transfer and Architectural Engineering Technology instruction focused mainly in design, documentation (including project delivery processes and industry standard software packages), building materials and systems, and building codes, Provides curriculum development and assessment, care of facilities, equipment and other details pertinent to the program. Participates in community outreach functions related to the program. May teach in the day or evening, on-campus or via alternate delivery methods (i.e. internet, hybrid, etc.).

    This position is located on the Northeast Campus in the Engineering Technologies department.
    Master's degree in Architecture or a master's degree in a related field with 18 graduate credit hours completed in a directly related discipline.Knowledge of academic management, effective principles of curriculum/program development and assessment, positive interpersonal skills, and effective and correct oral and written communication skills. Knowledge in the following areas: Principles and procedures pertaining to higher education, especially teaching methodologies; standard business practices and accepted protocol for areas of responsibility; and college mission, goals and objectives. Ability to supervise and coordinate student activities and establish good working relations with alumni, businesses, students, media, faculty, and others in college community. Professional Certification and/or Licensure is desired but not required.
