Pay Range:
State Teacher Salary [8.5% - 16% local supplement]
Position Purpose: To develop students' interest, abilities, talents and skills for artistic expression and creativity in theatre arts, as well as aesthetic understanding and appreciation by implementing district approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; developing lesson plans; modeling the necessary skills to performing assigned tasks; providing a safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc. This candidate will be expected to produce both a fall production and large scale spring musical of the highest caliber. Though under the diretion of the drama teacher, the spring musical will work closely with other Fine Arts teachers. A.C. Alternative Licensed Pathways: If you are offered a position with BCS, our licensure specialist can share information on the
1-year Emergency License and later work with you to convert this to a Residency License. Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 18 semester hours of relevant coursework
- 2.7 GPA (undergraduate coursework or post-graduate coursework)
- Ability to produce an official, degree dated transcript from an accredited university
- Former Lateral Entry license candidates are eligible to apply
