Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     We are seeking a Manager of Electrical Engineering to help provide technical and project leadership to our Electrical group.

    In this role you will:

    • Guide, mentor and provide technical leadership to the team.
    • Establish scope, work plan and work schedule and ensure this is communicated to the project staff and other department managers.
    • Manage staff utilization to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
    • Provide QA/QC review for design calculations and drawings.
    • Serve as technical advisor for staff.
    • Develop and mentor junior staff.
    • Prepare electrical engineering reports, calculations, drawings, and studies.
    • Design/develop solutions for a variety of complex technical issues.
    • Act as a Senior Engineer leading the design and engineering efforts for various projects.
    • Ensure conformance with standards, established design practices, and applicable codes.
    • Manage projects from inception to completion.
    • Cultivate client relationships.
    • Help with proposal development.
    • Other duties, as assigned.

    We are looking for someone who has:

    • B.S. in Electrical Engineering
    • Illinois P.E. License
    • 15 plus years of related technical experience, including power distribution for all types of commercial, municipal, and institutional projects
    • 5 plus years as a people manager
    • Relationship building skills
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Strong electrical code knowledge including NEC and Chicago electrical code
    • AutoCAD, Revit, and other related software knowledge
