The Civil and Environmental Engineering department in The Grainger College of Engineering seeks applicants for a Research Scientist position. This position will conduct research in support of the development, transfer, and adaptation of agile benchmarking frameworks in QSDsan (open-source software). This will include the development of QSDsan models for representative water resource recovery facilities and the development of packages in Python to support early-stage technology benchmarking and evaluation across deployment contexts in cities across the globe. Along with contributing to the development of decarbonization roadmaps for representative water resource recovery facilities.

This is a full-time academic professional position appointed on a 12-month service basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after the closing date. Employees hired into this position will be expected to work onsite on a full-time basis. The minimum salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
