Converse University is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Education to begin August 2024.
Summary of Position: The Director of Administration and Supervision Programs is responsible for teaching and advising current educators aspiring to become school administrators at either the Elementary or Secondary level. The individual selected will direct the Administration and Supervision Program, teach graduate level courses, develop and maintain partnerships with neighboring school districts, attend and contribute to department meetings, attend campus-wide faculty meetings, contribute to the overall vitality of the campus through active participation in campus events, conduct scholarly research, and maintain membership in professional organizations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The individual selected will teach four (4) graduate courses (60%) each fall and spring semester, advise and mentor program students (30%) collaborate with Education Department faculty and staff, develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, provide service to the department, graduate school, and university (10%). The individual will also perform other duties as assigned by the Chair of Education. The individual selected is evaluated by the Chair of Education.
