Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.   • We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Law Clerk. In this role, you will provide essential support to our legal team by conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and assisting with case management. The ideal candidate will have excellent research and writing skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct legal research on various topics, statutes, regulations, and case law using legal databases and other resources.
    • Assist in drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and agreements.
    • Review and analyze legal documents for accuracy and completeness.
    • Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, and meetings by organizing case materials and preparing relevant documents.
    • Manage and maintain case files, including organizing and indexing documents, and ensuring proper documentation of case-related activities.
    • Assist in the preparation and filing of court documents and other legal submissions.
    • Communicate with clients, court personnel, and other parties involved in legal proceedings as necessary.
    • Provide administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
    • Assist with legal billing and invoicing processes as required.
    • Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and legal procedures relevant to the practice area.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field. (JD degree or enrollment in a law school program preferred)
    • Previous experience working in a legal setting, such as a law firm, corporate legal department, or government agency, is preferred.
    • Strong research skills and the ability to analyze and interpret legal documents and statutes.
    • Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents and communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in using legal research tools and databases, such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, or Bloomberg Law.
    • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software applications.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
    • Knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and principles relevant to the practice area.
    • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines as required.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $19.37 - $28.72 per hour

    Expected hours: 40 per week
