Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Law typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     Family Law Legal Assistant or Paralegal sought by law firm in Middletown, CT - We have two fast paced locations in Connecticut - Middletown and Old Saybrook. The position that needs to be filled is for our Middletown office from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m, M-F, one hour lunch. Majority of State/Federal holidays off and paid. We offer paid parking for each employee. We are a fully vaccinated law firm. You will be responsible to provide overall support to a family law partner and firm needs.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Substantial contact with client via phone or in person (if client is fully vaccinated)
    • Assist with drafting and reviewing of legal documents and correspondence
    • Track all court dates and compliance dates
    • Organize files
    • Record and store client information
    • Enter and finalize billing
    • Filing/scheduling appointments, depositions, etc.
    • Assist in answering firm incoming calls

    Qualifications:

    • Previous experience as a family legal assistant or paralegal helpful, but not necessary
    • Ability to prioritize and multitask
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Deadline and detail-oriented
    • Strong work ethic
    • Punctuality
