Professor - Law teaches courses in the discipline area of law. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Law provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Law typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     Busy General Civil Practice Firm Seeking Diligent Paralegal or Law Clerk.

    Candidates should have at least two (2) years of work experience as a paralegal or law clerk in some capacity.

    Core Duties & Responsibilities

    • Drafting, preparing, & formatting motions, pleadings, discovery documents.
    • Ensuring the effective & timely delivery of outgoing mail, messenger deliveries, overnight deliveries, & facsimiles.
    • Fielding calls clients & other outside parties in a courteous & effective manner.
    • Reviewing reports, medical records, bank statements, etc.
    • Providing support to attorneys in a high volume, time sensitive atmosphere.
    • Dealing with clients, court staff, and third parties in respectful manner

    Education & Work Experience

    • Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree - Paralegal; equivalent experience may be substituted.
    • Preferably at least 2 years of relevant work experience
    • Law School or Paralegal Degree Candidates Preferred
    • Experience with New Jersey & New York law, specifically NJ Court Rules and NY CPLR.

    Skills/Abilities

    • Excellent verbal & written communication skills, native or native-level fluency in English is required, however bilingual candidates with Spanish speaking ability are encouraged to apply.
    • Highly organized, self motivated & capable of working independently.
    • Skilled in MS Word, Excel, Lexis, etc.
    • Capably operate computer, fax machine, scanner, photocopier, typewriter, & telephone.
    • Work under deadline pressure.

    Work Environment

    Professional law office environment. Moderate noise level within the work environment.
    Applicant is required to sit, talk, hear, & see. Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel,

    Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
