Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.   • The School of Nursing and Health Sciences at Vermont State University invites applications for a Full-Time, Tenure-Track Assistant Professor position in the Department of Nursing. 

    Responsibilities: 
    Responsibilities include teaching courses and clinical for pre-licensure nursing students in the PN program in a progressive 1 1 2 nursing program. Some regional travel may be required. The candidate will be expected to serve the college community by participating in committees and student advising. The targeted start date for this position will be for the Fall 2024 term.

    Teaching load will average 24 credit hours or the equivalent per academic year.

    Minimum Qualifications: 
    Qualified candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Nursing and have previous clinical experience in nursing.  Teaching experience in secondary school or college is a plus.  An active unencumbered Vermont RN licensure or eligibility for an unencumbered Vermont license required. A valid driver's license is required. 

    Salary: 
    Based on qualifications and experience as defined by VSC-VSCFF Bargaining Unit Agreement.
