Professor - Legal Support teaches courses in the discipline area of legal services. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Legal Support provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Legal Support typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     Description

    Georgetown College seeks to fill a full-time, tenure-track opening in Finance at the Assistant Professor level, beginning in August 2024. A Ph.D. in Finance or Economics (with appropriate fields or experience) is desirable, but we will consider a business-related Master’s with suitable experience.  The teaching load is 8 classes per year, including Principles, International Finance, Corporate Finance, and some upper-level undergraduate elective classes.  The ability to teach other accounting or economics classes is a plus.
