Being a Professor - Legal Support provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Legal Support typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     About your Role:
    The Peer Support Specialist (PPS), under the supervision of the Clinical Director or Regional Director, is responsible for providing opportunities for individuals receiving services to direct their own recovery process. The PPS is also responsible for facilitating the development of a sense of wellness and self-worth.
    • Act as a role model to persons in recovery to inspire hope, share life experiences and lessons learned as a person in recovery;
    • Model/mentor recovery process and demonstrate coping skills;
    • Engage individuals who may be at risk and provide stage-appropriate recovery education and supports, e.g., usage of the leveling system and evidence-based practices
    • This position requires travel of approximately 50% of the time.

    Does the Following Apply to You?
    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
    • Have maintained, within the last three (3) years, at least 12 months of successful full or part time paid or voluntary work experience (not necessarily consecutive) OR
    • One-year post-secondary education experience totaling 24 credit hours
